Our Wool is from Our Sheep! We began our journey with sheep in 2003. It has been a heart warming adventure. We have met so many wonderful people as we have learned about sheep. Our sons showed at the state fair for most of those years and we met even more wonderful people at the fair.
www.carolinafiberfest.org. Is the website for our local fiber event at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, N.C. in the Kerr Scott Building at the Blue Ridge Rd. entrance. Check the site for all the up to date information.
These are some of our sheep. We have enjoyed our sheep journey, but it is work. For those who glamorize farming as a restful, laid back way of life, please be more realistic. It is a 24/7 job, with perks. Lambing is one of those perks.
Our beautiful sheep provide fiber for spinners, yarn for knitters and crocheters and we have loose wool for felters. Our wool is soft, luxurious and warm. We dye some of it and leave some natural colored.
